Community and professional associations: Lori currently serves as co-chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section of the Boston Bar Association. Lori has worked pro bono with small businesses in disadvantaged communities through the Economic Justice Project of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights. Lori has taught as an adjunct professor at Northeastern University Law School and in the clinical program at Harvard Law School. She has conducted seminars for the legal community and the general public and has authored and co-edited several publications on legal issues. She has served as a board member of several educational and cultural institutions. Lori is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Women's Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.

Little known facts about Lori: Lori received her training as a corporate and commercial transactions lawyer at Winston and Strawn, LLP in New York City. She and her family relocated to the Boston area in 2002 when her husband, Ty Burr, became one of the Boston Globe movie critics. Lori has been practicing yoga for many years and is an avid runner.
